The Senior Citizens association is very thankful to the members of Senior Citizens physical exercise group for their yet another kind donation to the Panic button Fund. This group meets various times a week for physical exercises, yoga, tai chi and other activities and voluntarily by weekly contributions; fill up the collection tin always available.
On Thursday 16th the Citizens Advice Bureau assisted by Age Concern from the UK, held a seminar on computers specially for Senior Citizens in the Bleak House. Three committee members of the Gibraltar Senior Citizens Association were in attendance offering comments and advice to some of those participating in the seminar. The event was a huge success and already some enquiries have been received by the Association reference availability courses and so on.
The Department of Education is now running courses on computers and the Association for special concessions has asked the Department for seniors.
The GSCA held its AGM last Wednesday and was very well attended by comparison with other years’ attendances. The following committee was unanimously elected to serve for 2006/2007 President: M.Ruiz, Secretary: F.Ferro, Treasurer: J.Golt and committee members: J.Gonzalez, J.Alguilera, H.Vinales, J.Norton, A.Olivero.
