You need a Gibraltar Health card to access health care. This card is combined with the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), which allows you access to emergency health care in other parts of Europe. If your card expires, you won’t be able to get health care, so be careful to check the expiry date. You can renew your card six months before the date of expiry.
You may get a renewal application form from the Gibraltar Health Authority - take this to the Registration Office at the Primary Care Centre. Their opening hours are 8.15 to 2pm and the address is 2nd Floor, ICC Building, 2A Main Street. If you didn’t get a renewal application form, but you want to renew your card, get in touch with the Registration Office. You can phone them on: 200 72355.
