Remember to renew your Health Card
Wednesday, 21 July 2010 07:30
You need a Gibraltar Health card to access health care. This card is combined with the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), which allows you access to emergency health care in other parts of Europe. If your card expires, you won’t be able to get health care, so be careful to check the expiry date. You can renew your card six months before the date of expiry.
You may get a renewal application form from the Gibraltar Health Authority - take this to the Registration Office at the Primary Care Centre. Their opening hours are 8.15 to 2pm and the address is 2nd Floor, ICC Building, 2A Main Street. If you didn’t get a renewal application form, but you want to renew your card, get in touch with the Registration Office. You can phone them on: 200 72355.

Free Bus Fares for Over 60s
Wednesday, 09 June 2010 13:16
New rules about bus fares come in on 10 June. Everyone who is 60 or over will get free rides on buses run by the Gibraltar Bus Company. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a man or a woman. There are some exceptions to this general rule:
- it doesn’t apply to buses on route 9
- it only applies if you’re a local Gibraltar resident. Tourists don’t qualify.
To qualify for the free fare, show the bus driver your social services pink card if you have one. Or show them your local ID card which gives your age.
For more information about bus fares, you can phone the Gibraltar Bus Company on: 200 47622.

Computer Fun Day
The first of this year’s Computer Fun Day for Seniors was held on 28th April 2009.
As the leading local information provider, we feel that senior citizens may be at a disadvantage if they can not use a computer to look for information on the Internet.
GibCab Computer Fun days allow senior citizens to get a taste of using computer equipment and software. Remember that this is not a formal academic course; instead we focus on you and what you wish to learn about, with the atmosphere of an informal meeting.
Photos of the event are available in our gallery or click here.
We hope to hold the next Fun Day in November 2009.

Strategic Plans 2008
Thursday, 20 December 2007 09:45
The vision of the future presented here is challenging. It might require changes in the way which we work.
In an increasingly complex world, comprehensive, independent, impartial advice from a trusted source about the whole range of issues people face is more necessary than ever before. So too is the commitment to equality and diversity that underpins all our work.
